We have received multiple questions about having a personal well and/or FWSC service. This is ultimately the landowner’s decision/preference. Some believe that FWSC has to approve a personal water well, this is incorrect. To have a personal well, the landowner would need to contact the Fayette County Groundwater Conservation District for more information. The landowner can also have a personal well and FWSC service as long as there is a physical air gap between the two as required by state law. The two cannot be connected in any way due to possible backflow into FWSC’s system. Most people with both services use their personal well for outdoor watering and livestock and use FWSC in the house.

Mass Meter Change Outs
December 05, 2024
Accurate Meter Supply will be changing out our current water meters to smart water meters beginning on Monday, December 9th. These smart meters will be able to be read from the FWSC office and will also allow Members to create an online account to track their daily usage. Members can also select to receive usage alerts based on their preference. This will allow Members to detect leaks within their system sooner. This will be an ongoing project that will be completed over a 4-year timeframe. The 1st phase will be from the intersection of FM 609 & Mach Road to Muldoon, Cistern, Armstrong and Flatonia areas. Once each phase is complete, information on the smart meter and how to receive usage alerts will be mailed out to members. If you have any questions, please call the FWSC Office at 979-968-6475.
